Cockroaches
Cockroaches (order dictyoptera) are found worldwide and in a wide range of environments. The cockroach species found in Ireland are the Oriental Cockroach, German Cockroach and American Cockroach. With the high risk of disease pest control measures should be taken quickly when evidence of a cockroach infestation is present.

This is a large cockroach measuring about 1 inch (2.5cm) when fully grown, it has a glossy body dark brown in colour. |

The German Cockroach is smaller than the Oriental Cockroach measuring 0.5 – 0.65 inches (1.3 – 1.6cm) long. It can be light brown in colour with two distinctive dark streaks running down the wings.
